Ty Aweau - Head Coach

I enjoy all ocean adventures especially diving, fishing and surfing. As far as outrigger gos I haven’t arrived yet. I came into this sport as a competitor later on in my life. I consider myself a constant student and “life long novice paddler”. Right now at Hanohano we are laying the foundation for future success.

Paddling accomplishments:

  • 2008 competed in Molokai to Oahu paddle board relay 

  • 2009 competed in Molokai to Oahu paddle board relay

  • 2018 competed in the Wild Buffalo relay (second place masters devision)

  • 2019 competed in the Wild Buffalo relay (third place masters devision) 

  • 2015-Present Paddled for Hanohano Outrigger  

Experience:

  • 2006-2011 competed in numerous paddle board races to include the Henssey US Championships Paddle board race

  • 2005-2015 In the capacity of an escort boat driver. Participated in the following races:
